After being introduced to Apex High through its Collaboration Schools partner, Acorn Education, the school started using Reflective Learning throughout 2021. Being a relatively new school, Apex High has always been open to innovative programmes.
Wynberg Boys High

After using Reflective Learning for a year with 100 of their weaker Grade 8s and 9s and seeing positive results, Wynberg Boys High decided to use it with all of their Grade 8s.
Danville Park Girls’ High School

Danville Park Girls’ High started using Reflective Learning in the second term of 2022, providing
students access to one period each week and any other free periods that were available.
Durban Girls’ High School

Durban Girls’ High started using Reflective Learning at the start Term 2 in 2022 with Grade 8
students. Because of the late start, time was of the essence.
Raising Achievement in the Lowveld

In 2021, Ntiyiso Consulting sponsored a project which used Reflective Learning to assist 58 Grade 8 students at Lowveld Academy in Limpopo. After introducing the programme to the school principal, Maths HOD and wider Maths department.
Scaling for the Future

IBhodi Trust Case Study

This case study shows that students from previously disadvantaged communities have the ability to catch–up tremendous amounts when provided with the right content at the right level, sufficient time with content, consistent positive support, and motivating rewards.
The Learning Plateau

Syafunda conducted assessments with a randomised sample choosing 25 students from each grade in each school across Grade 8 to 12. These 2522 students were assessed using Reflective Learning’s High School diagnostic assessment, translating results in an estimated grade–level of learner competency.
Renewing South Africa’s Maths Hopes

Based on the learning gaps identified by the diagnostics, Reflective Learning provided personalised catch–up material in print form to build the learners‘ conceptual understanding in the Numbers thread of Mathematics, while embedding self–reflective activities to develop metacognitive skills.
Mind The Gap: Leap School and Edunova’s Learning Centre

In partnership with LEAP Schools, Edunova’s Learning Centres in the Eastern Cape and Limpopo were supporting schools through leadership development, specialised education information and communication technology (ICT) services and promoting best practice in teaching and learning.
